What's at Hawane?

Imphilo house was opened in January 2006. It's name means life and health, which is the vision for the centre. It is an eight bed facility and serves the farm in providing primary healthcare and education for staff and children. The house has one full time nurse who is responsible for overseeing the children’s health on the farm.

The facility has had many people use it, which has included medical outreaches into the community, which saw 200 people come through the doors in two days. In 2006 the centre saw 300 people from the community and served those around the farm in a variety of ways. The vision of the house is to provide the children with high quality healthcare without having to send them to over stretched facilities in the city. It will also serve as a place for our children with HIV to be cared for in a loving home environment, near those who love them, when their health starts to become more difficult to manage.

Imphilo House was funded by Family Life Fondation under Pastor Roy Kerr and Elim Northern Ireland under Pastor Ray Cotter.
