Ka La Gamedze is headed up by Zanelle Gamedze who leads the home of eight children.

The home is set on Persimmon Street, Bulembu. It is a beautiful little home of four bedrooms and a small vegetable garden. Nonthando's main hive of activity is in the home's kitchen where everyone takes turns cooking and learning life skills.

The children do not have to walk far (about three hundred metres) to their school, The Valley of Hope. The head teacher and teachers relate well to Zanelle and regularly give reports on how the children are doing in school and especially how they are doing with their attitudes and behaviour. This close relationship makes it much easier for Zanelle to be able to train the hearts of the children and to deal with and hear issues which may well have otherwise remained hidden.

The aunt figure for the home is Lungile who covers for Zanelle for two days each week.
