Bulembu provides a safe, family enviroment, enabling us to care for the children in homes which allow for up to eight children per home, with a foster mother and aunt figure.

Our mission is to provide safe, Christian family homes for children referred to us by the Ministry of Health. The homes are to be the children’s homes for life.

We are interested in training the heart of the children, to walk in hope, with plans of a future, with self-confidence, loving and accepting themselves, believing all things are possible and setting out to enjoy the gift of life.

We believe that every child has the potential to do great things. To reach into that potential, we must provide an environment, which helps the children to work through their trauma, to see the good that comes their way, to make the most of their life, to encourage them to be creative, to recognize that we are a sum of our own choices, and to be leaders.

We believe that to be truly sustainable, the leaders of this project must be nationals and to that end, we have had the privilege of seeing nationals rise up into their places of responsibility and authority.
